Description
The listing, Dragon Scale Chain Maille Bracelet has ended.
You are bidding on a 7-1/4" handcrafted dragon scale chain maille bracelet. I made this bracelet with steel rings, and a steel lobster claw clasp. When worn, movement of the hand and wrist cause the links to move like scales. Very pretty, and very unusual.
This bracelet was designed and made in my smoke-free home.

Questions & Comments
you made this, now this is art in motion! love it!
Thank you! Right now I'm working on a choker, bracelet & earrings set done in gunmetal. I've really enjoyed doing the dragon scale, and I love how it moves when worn!
As a chainmaille artist, I have to say this is one of the best Dragon Scale bracelets I've seen! My son has been asking me for one in Sterling Silver, so we're waiting for the price of Silver to drop a bit more first. Dragon Scale is one of the more complicated weaves in that you have to hold the pattern in place at the same time as you add more jump rings. I've made every weave I can think of, all of which are very tricky and time consuming...yet none of them have proven as challenging to me as Dragon Scale! You've certainly made your mark with this particular weave as it's picture perfect in every way! I'm sure that very few of the jewelry customers out there...those who have never made their own chainmaille, have any real idea how much work is put into weaving chainmaille. I hope you get the amount of credits you are due for this piece! It's VERY well made and I, for one, and most impressed! I've fanned you and look forward to seeing more of your fine work!
Thank you! The first one I made nearly caused me to lose all of my religion (lol), but once I got it figured out, all the others have been much easier. Dragon scale is by far my favorite chain maille weave.
You must be reading my mind! I'd considered making a larger one, but was waiting until someone actually expressed an interest in something bigger. Let me get the couple of other dragon scale projects finished, and I'll work on a larger bracelet.. And since you're interested, what color would you like to see used? Silver, gold, gunmetal, copper, bronze -- any one of those, or a mixture.
Well, I don't know what happened to my reply, but since I don't see it here, here goes again: I can't mail it out today because the auction doesn't end until almost 9 tonight. However, I can hit the Post Office first thing tomorrow morning, and it should arrive anywhere in the continental US by no later than Friday. If you are the winning bidder and wish to have it sent Priority Mail, you can PayPal me $5 for extra postage and I can send it that way.
Right now I'm working on a 3 piece dragon scale set -- necklace, bracelet, earrings, but have had to put it aside while I wait for more material to arrive. So, let me dig around in my supplies and see what I can come up with for the silver or gold. I can make the silver in steel (or in silver plate, and can make gold plate, but won't put it on Listia because I would need to recoup some of the cost). I'll send you a message about that.
Thank you so much! While I'm waiting for more gunmetal material to arrive, I've been working on another bracelet that is made with pink and red aluminum rings that are held together with the silver steel smaller rings. The aluminum is of course softer than the steel, but I'm thinking that anyone who gets any of the dragon scale jewelry will take good care of it, and the softness won't really matter. I won't be finished with the pink/red on for a couple more days, and will probably post it on Listia. So, keep a watchful eye out for it.........
