Powered by four AA batteries (not included), this Legless chair functions as a comfortable, portable-audio-device booster for video games, movies, and music. Two one-inch aluminum-cone ARX hi-fi performance speakers imbedded in the chair create a surround-sound effect when a game console or portable audio device is plugged into the chair. Covered in breathable dual-layered mesh fabric, the lightweight chair permits rocking action for comfort, folds for storage, and has a built-in carrying handle for portability and a volume control.
The chair is compatible with PS2, PS3, Xbox, XBox360, Game Cube, Nintendo DS, PSP, iPod, TV, VCR, and all DVD and MP3 players.

I have never had any better sound out if the high dollar ones you can find them cheeper at Walmart and some dollar stores

it is made for the floor but you could put on couch the bottom is slightly rounded so it can rock

best way to hook it up is an RCA cable from audio out on tv to the plugs on the seat also they make a cable that can go from the headphone jack to the RCA plug on the seat if your tv has a headphone jack (most new tvs do)
