The listing, HP Compaq Laptop nx9010 has ended.

HP Compaq Laptop nx9010 (good for parts) It runs but needs a master pasword to use it. some of the screws are missing because I tried to open up laptop. Battery keeps a low charge of about 45 mins. Works with the cord. Casing is loose because I opened up the inside of the laptop to fiddle around with it.

I see Windows XP starting in the picture, so it must be your Windows master password that's lost, right? Is the problem that you can start the computer, but can't log into Windows?

NO.... y'all are wrong all it take is a hard reset by taking out the bios battery out for 30 Sec.... and it will automatically reset the mother board thus getting rid of the master password.... I know this thanks to my 17 year old son.... he is a computer wiz

Yup. U r right. That's why n my description I say the casing is loose n some screws r missing because I was going to reset by battery but I lost interest.

a $20 disk is all it takes to run this fyi it's easy just take it to your local computer store and they can fix it for $30 and give u the disk

you can buy a disc to restart the program about 28.00 it will wipe it clean hp.com

get the download hirens bootable cd vol. 15 it has the software you need to get past any password and it is a free download also....... that laptop is way too old tp bid on ,,, i think my watch has more power than this laptop does,,,, sorry to say the truth about the laptop..... hirens bootable cd vol. 15 will work for this problem

you can override the master password by going into safe mode.

Just won a laptop yesterday and she said she would ship 9 days after which would of been enough days just to get credits. my credits were refunded , i guess she was deleted.just dont want to waste my time saving my credits for nothing im a serious bidder:)

3 days or less, I usually ship out faster then that n will ship n flat rate box with tracking. It helps to check people's feedback and the number of auctions they have completed
