The year is 1951. Topps' very first cards are either blue backs or red backs. All 1951 Topps cards have rounded corners and are 2" x 2 5/8". The card you are bidding on is a red back and its' card #28. This card has a crease on right side on the back. There are 52 blue back and 52 red back cards comprises each set. The Czechoslovakian born Valo is with the Philadelphia Athletics.

The Yankees Joe DiMaggio is retiring. Oklahoma born Mickey Mantle is just starting his career as is Willie Mays. The Yankees win the third of five straight World Series.

The Brooklyn Dodgers had a 13.5 game lead over the New York Giants until the Miracle of Coogan's Bluff started with the Giants winning 16 straight games and ending with Bobby Thompson's Shot Heard Around the World.

My favourite design is the 1981 Topps with 1976 a close second.

My least favourite design is the loud 1975 Topps.
