Yes,that is a Tom turkey I harvested about 4 years ago.I have pet turkeys but I don't usually eat those. My family has always pretty much hunted for venison as long as I can remember. It's healthier, cheaper and tastes better than store bought meats, for us anyway. We save hundreds of dollars on our groceries every year and spend lots of time with family and friends hunting together . It not only feeds us, it keeps us close as a family also. :-D
Yes I agree most store bought meat is terrible because of the mass consumption mentality and inhumane treat of the animals. I suppose hunting your own meat for food purposes is more tolerant and that's great that it keeps your family bonded. As long as you all are sharp shooters lol.
although this ring is different than any i have seen how would you wear it ?? like on two fingers? now that isnt really good how would you be able to use your hand rite with two fingers in this ring
You're absolutely right, shopposh, there is no worse feeling to a true hunter than making a "bad shot".Our goal is to harvest only what we need and to do it as quickly and humanely as possible. It is not just grab a weapon and go to the woods. It is hours spent keeping equipment in top order, year round practice and knowing the area you hunt.We own our land so we do know it and we plant 5-10 acres of corn and other crops that are left for the wildlife. Our land is actually certified Alabama Treasure Forest because of all the effort we put into keeping it a place for wildlife and managing the trees so they are the best they can be. It's a lot of work but well worth it to know that we are helping keep a forest in top shape for generations to come. Sorry I got so carried away, but my woods are my passion and I love to share it.
Whoops, I replied to you from my husband's account. My account is Realtreeswwh, I picked up the tablet he was looking at and just went to replying, lol.I hope you weren't too confused. Looks like he's watching here also :-)
