The pictures came out really good.
The rough citrine (been polished in a tumbler) beads make this necklace fun to check out. They're all different, shape, size, and coloration patterns.
The pendant, I think, is Carnelian Agate-found several pieces that were a lot like this. If anyone can verify or disprove this, I'd be most humbly grateful. I'm pretty sure I have it but...back up wouldn't hurt-thanks.
Citrine quartz is a protection stone and also known as the "success" stone promoting abundane in business. It was really fascinating today when I was listing this and reading up on citrine so I could give the stone some depth...never realized it was such an important stone. The one thing that really stuck with me was that it throws off negativity on it's own and is 1 of only a few that do...Sure can't get bored working with gemstones...too many and too much to learn about each one. You'd think I'd know that with the amount of time I spend looking at page after page for the stones I want. LOL But...I don't have that answer...I will in a few minutes! :) Be rught back-that's a good thing to know, me thinks?!
Ok, got that info...and you are right! It comes in shade of pale yellow to deep burnt orange.and the dark orange stones are much more valuable. They also use heat treatment to intensify the color by subjecting it to radiation for several hours. Learned that jus the other day cuz a lot of the stones I'm buying or bought have in theiir descriprion that they're not heat treated-guess most gems are eventually given this type of treatment because it enhances their color.
Now here's a thought-I wonder who the brave person was that did this for the 1st time...LOL Hey the coat is stlll at $43.00 :)

Citrine and Kyanite are the two stones that do not need to be cleansed or recharged. Just another bit of information.

It is. I originally got it for the stones in it and just couldn't take it apart. The pendant, the way it was done, just looks regal or something. I'm really glad I listed it, instead of adding it to my bead pile lol.

In my small study of gemstones I've learned that color saturation, if not overdone so an amethyst looks so dark it's hard to tell what the color really is as an example, is the most important item in determining the value of a gemstone. Gemstones are color enhanced with irradiation, dye and I think the third way is heat; not all are color enhanced though. Ohhh, I'd love to talk gemstones with you! Trying to learn mostly on my own-and it would help talking to someone like you who obviously knows rock. On of the methods to enhance the color is using xray and yes they dye 'em Bought sapph. beads and they smelled like rancid grease so washed them- water turned thick dark blue...wonder why to-the stones are a real pretty blue...
