Was the watch band & all pinned on? Any idea of the age & what it's made of? I love it. Thanks for listing!

It's a designer piece. There is a mark C A with an arrow. I don't have it in front of me, but I believe it's GF. These are sought after pieces. you can research Carl Art easily on the net. The little loop is where the watch itself would hang. Carl Art only made the jewelry part, not the watch part. There are other pieces of Carl Art, but this is the only one I have. It's very art nouveau, which I LOVE!

If I were to guess, based on old photos, there was a ribbon with an attachment which would be hooked on to the loop you see here, and then the watch itself would hang from there. not too long. Or, the watch itself had a loop or chains to connect to this beautiful pin.
