Yes. Most kids do NOT need knives, machetes or swords. My beliefs.

You probably have a dad that has taught you how to treat weapons too. Some kids don't have that. Count your blessings. My boys have had knives since they were 5 and 6, but they were taught respect. And supervised. Kids now days have changed a lot. So in this box will be normal things for a boy younger that 14. I am just an old fashioned grandma and care about kids safety. Be safe.
