Inula magnifica is a beautiful perennial that loves sun but also grows well partial shade--especially from hot afternoon sun. From seed it takes 3 years before the branchy bloom stock rises 4' with long lasting blossoms.

In the meantime, the beautiful big leaves (about 10") are stunning even without flowers. In zone 8 they do die back to the ground but survive the Artic Blasts we tend to have very well.

I use them as cut flowers in bouquets I take to the local market. There are over 20 seeds in the packet which includes a picture and planting instructions.
