Katachina dolls are figures carved, typically from cottonwood root (mainly attributed to Hopi people) to instruct young girls and new brides about the immortal beings that bring rain, control other aspects of the natural world and society, and act as messengers between humans and the spirit world.Most Hopi manufacturers today that sell dolls, do it for trade and do not necessarily make dolls that reflect authentic Katchinam.
Card is in very good condition, but has a corner crease upper right hand side.
