The listing, WM ROGERS *Silver Plated Spoon* Erie Canal/John Quincy Adams has ended.
Really nice collectable spoon. I was told it is silver PLATED. It has some tarnish and a nice pinkish patina. The pics are blurry, but it is a very nicely detailed spoon. On the top of the handle is a portrait of John Q. Good detail here. It has his full name down the handle. In the spoon part is a commemoration of the Erie Canal, 1825. There is a barge coming down the canal with trees in the background. Lots of detail! On the back of the handle, top there are 2 crossed American Flags inside an ornate oval with what appears to be a drape of feathers (?) below. It's stamped with WM ROGERS MFG and then there are 2 square stamps adjacent to each other, one says I or 1, the other is an S.
