Description

The listing, Passion Plant has ended.

1 - Seed pod from the Passion Flower Plant.
Perennial vining plant.
These plants were given the name Passionflower or Passion vine because the floral parts were once said to represent aspects of the Christian crucifixion story, sometimes referred to as the Passion. The 10 petal-like parts represent Jesus disciples, excluding Peter and Judas; the 5 stamens the wounds Jesus received; the knob-like stigmas the nails; the fringe the crown of thorns.

Here in Kentucky mine dies out in the fall and comes back in the spring. I have it growing on the fence in my back yard and really enjoy it.

The seeds are in a pod the shape of an egg. I've never counted but there are probably from 20-30 seeds in each pod.

How do you guys start this from seeds? Do you germinate them in the house first or just put the seeds in the ground, or what? I would hate to mess them up.
