that happened to my sisters coolpix camera also, the lens would not come out

The number should be on the inside of the battery opening.I've had one that the lenses didn't work.All I had to do was clean around the edges of the lense.Awesome cameras,though.Fanned you.Please fan me back!

not an easy fix u have to take apart to fix that and theres no garuntee it will work when put back togetheris it under warentee yet
