Description

The listing, Size 11 Stainless Steel Celtic Irish Knotwork Band Ring *BNWT* has ended.

This Auction is for a Size 11 Stainless Steel Celtic Irish Knot work Band Style Ring. This ring can be worn handsomely by a Man or a Woman. The band is 8 mm tall. (Which is Approximately 1/4th") This beauty is BRAND NEW WITH TAGS and will arrive in a Gift Box.

Stainless Steel is the perfect material for a ring because it is virtually indestructible, it never tarnishes, and will look shiny new even after years of wear and tear. It is indiscernible from Sterling Silver and looks even closer to platinum with out the price and doesn't get scratched or broken. Even my own wedding set is Stainless Steel and I have been wearing it for 17 years. It looks like the day I first put it on.

Celtic knots are complete, continuous and with no clear beginning or end. They look like strands which are interwoven. You can find different knotwork patterns consisting of one or a number for strands which criss-cross. The Irish Celtic knot represents the full development of the knotwork tradition. The style is known as Ultimate La Tene or Hiberno-Saxon Insular art and emerged around 650 AD when Gaelic monks put together biblical manuscripts in monasteries in Ireland and the island of Britain.

Great examples of Celtic knot patterns appear in the ornamentation of early Christian manuscripts such as 8th Century Book of Kells as well as the Lindisfarne Gospels (late 7th Century). Knots were often used for elaborate decocoration or illumination of initial letters or for the hair of the apostles.

I hope that the Celtic Knot work will be a way for the person wearing it to remember that like the knotwork that has no beginning or no end so does our Divine Power that guides us.

Thank you so much for stopping by and ask any questions you may have!. Happy Bidding!

~Namaste

This is a Standard Size 11, American made, measured before it is finished and after. I also use a standard Jeweler's sizer (again American Sizes) before listing anything. So this is an American made, American sized, Size 11. I hope that this answers your question and if not please keep at me until I do. Have a Fabulous Friday with a Wonderful Weekend as well! ~Namaste~

This is Stainless Steel and I have no idea if a Jeweler would take on re-sizing it as it is a MUCH harder metal. My Sterling Silver pieces can be resized by a Jeweler with out much problem. This is a Solid Stainless Steel Band and it would completely destroy the design to have to take metal out of it. At the minimum, it would cost you more to have it resized than the ring would be worth. That is the best answer I can give you. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and take a look and for your great question. I hope you have a Fabulous Friday! ~Namaste~

I am now watching this auction I have been looking for the perfect thumb ring and this is it. I usually wear a 10 on my thumb but I think if I were to win this which my chances are slim because there are 3 days left and I won't be getting more credits until the 3rd, however it is perfection and my hope is there will be another ...hint hint...lol I am not very good at that huh lol I am fanning you as well in hopes you will let me know if there is ever another like the other. Have a very blessed day and may HIS angels keep you wrapped in their wings safe from harm, warm and full of love hope and dreams.

I have other already made in the design all in big sizes. (Size 10 is the smallest size we made because anything less would degrade the design) So hang in there... you never know when I will list the perfect thing for you! =) The biggest problem I am having right now is that due to recent changes in Listia policy I am having issues being able to list much at one time due to the cost of shipping. I use to keep at least 40-50 auctions listed at any given time. For Now, I just have to list less at a time. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by, have a look, and for asking your question! Have a Fabulous Friday and a Wonderful Weekend as well! ~Namaste~
