The listing, Indian Arrowhead NICE! has ended.
Let me first say that I know NOTHING about the origins of this arrowhead. I buy box lots at auctions all the time, and sometimes I end up with unexpected little treasures. THIS is one of them. I've hung on to it, sitting on my desk for several years, now I'm ready to pass it on.
All I can tell you is that it probably came from the Kankakee River area in Illinois, near the city of Kankakee. That's where it was purchased, and most of the consignees of this auction barn are pretty local. It measures 2-3/8" long x 1-1/4" at the widest point. It is made of very smooth, almost agate looking rock. The top and bottom surfaces are really smooth feeling, the edges are rough.
This is what I KNOW. Ask questions if you want, but I'm not sure I'll be able to answer them. Bid on what is pictured!
