HI! I'm confused as to why sterile bandages would have an expiration date unless they have an antibiotic ointment on them, and that doesn't seem to be the case. Is there a date actually stamped on the box and not written? Or is it just the writing on it?? Wondering if the 12/16 is possibly 12 of 16 boxes? Or even a supply rotation box #??

I work in the medical field & almost everything expired for tracking purposes. No antibiotics on these.
