Description

The listing, LOOK~~~ OLD Model Talking View Master 3D With Disney Movies~~! So Neat!!! has ended.

This is an original Talking 3D View Master with four sets of "movie" cartridges. The movies are Bambi, Fox and the Hound, Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show and Mickey Mouse and Friends. They work and it lights up, the only issue with it is that the sound only works off and on and I believe that is because of the batteries in back fit loose. When I push on them and hold them in it works. It is OLD, but in great shape, and I am not entirely sure how to work the thing, so the sound may just be that I am doing something wrong. :) This is for sure a collectors item. I will keep having my boyfriend fiddle with it and keep you posted as to whether or not I can get the sound fixed and working all the time. FREE SHIPPING as always in the US, Worldwide pays difference between US ship and World Wide ship price. The video cartridges are still in the original boxes dated 1980, so it is over 30 yrs old. Good luck bidding, hope someone enjoys it!!!! No refunds on credits so CAREFULLY read what this says before you bid please. As always this is in great shape, especially for how old it is. Well taken care of. One other thing I forgot all the cartridges are in the original box EXCEPT the Mickey one, it doesn't have it's box anymore.

kool auction! fanned u/watching.. I remember MANY years ago... I won one (but it wasn't the square one) when I was on a kids' show in Miami, FL called "Popeye Playhouse" ~ (Skipper Chuck Show) late 60's, early 70's. The one I won was an upright; had a 'lever' on it... push the lever down and it played.. lol

:) Yeah I love these older toys and I love when I can pass them on to others that can enjoy or collect them. Aren't many around anymore and toys now are just all high tech gadgets mainly, no room for imagination.

I meant it was one of the original models sorry for the confusion. I don't think it takes the original round cartridges because the ones in it are longer but I am not sure honestly. I wasn't going to do anything "extreme" to fix it, I just was going to play around with it a little to see how it works. I really never used one like this before, that's all. :) No there is no corrosion on the battery terminals. :) I remember the original square one too, I had never seen this kind before either and I saw it and had to buy it, thinking that it was so neat and different. I love this kind of thing and always love to pass on to others and or other generations the toys that we played with as kids, because frankly, imagination and things are dying these days. :) Hope I answered all your question and if you have anymore just ask! OH do you live in the US? If so it is free shipping. Also on the sound it made sound and beeped but I haven't had time to read the instructions and figure out how to work it yet that's all it is I believe, but not sure so wanted to put in the description sound is not totally working because I don't want any misunderstandings.

This IS pretty cool. I've never seen one like this before. BUT... it's not exactly the "original" Talking ViewMaster. The original was made in 1971 and it didn't use cartridges. It used standard reels with the record attached to the back of each reel with a pin. This allowed the ViewMaster to be used with standard reels as well as the talking versions. In addition, the edges were more squared, whereas the edges on this one are more streamlined.

Do you know if this model is capable of playing the standard reels as well as the cartridges? How much would shipping be to 35413? It'd be nice to add to my collection. And, I can't speak for the others, but personally, (and I mean no offense in this comment) if I were to win it, I would really prefer that nothing extreme be tried in an attempt to get the sound working. I would rather do the repairs (if needed) myself. Especially on something collectible such as this.

Oh.. one last question: is there any corrosion at all on the battery terminals?

Thanks and good luck.
