Approximately 40 small almandine garnet crystals from Mineral, Virginia. Each crystal measures less than 1/2 inch but does show good crystal faces. Some are naturally rounded as they had been tumbled around in the stream they were panned from. Most have a nice dark red or purplish color. Free shipping to anywhere in the US. Thanks.

Contrary Creek in Mineral is accessible from Route 522 as of 2015, that's the last time I was there. As long as you stay west of the bridge and in the creek you're ok. Central Virginia gold prospectors owns the creek to the east of the bridge and they will call the cops if you aren't a member.
