The listing, 1960 HI fishing reel has ended.

1960 HI fishing reel in 'reel' nice condition. the only flaw is where the back foot has been in the rod has some signs of abuse or maybe modification to fit. there is NO rust or pitting on the handle or drum inside. there is line on the spool, so i tested it, it works smooth with no problems at all. nice piece of fishing history here. there are no cracks in the plastic where the top screws on. this was a major flaw these reels had and why so few are still around. .

How far does it cast?

when i tried it out, i wasnt going for distance, i was able to 'flip' a 3/8oz jig roughly 50 ft down my driveway into a 5 gallon bucket about 10 times. ( i only hit the bucket once, but i was pretty close on most tosses. i would not recommend using the line that is on it, it may be the original mono still on there.
