Description

The listing, SEMI KEY Second Year of Mintage 1910-S Lincoln Wheat Reverse Cent has ended.

This auction is for a SEMI KEY DATE 1910-S Lincoln Wheat Reverse Cent coin.
This coin is easily placed between a VF to EF condition with the Upper Wheat Heads on the Reverse still intact and without significant wear. With the Obverse displaying more wear on Lincolns Bust, the condition will be closer to the VF than the EF though.

Lately I have been trying to show both pictures and scans of my items because both seem to show different aspects of certain details. They do not look to be the same item sometimes, but they are.

The scans and /or pictures above are of the actual item that you will receive, and are provided for you to determine the condition and/or grade of it.
I never clean or alter coins in any way, and do my best to allow you to see every detail and/or every blemish that the coins I list have, so that you can make an informed and confident bid.
I am no longer accepting GIN offers for my auctions, everyone now gets a shot at bidding.
The winner will receive this via FREE SHIPPING W/Tracking.
Remember that all Listia rules apply.
Just let it be known that I have changed to Mondays and Thursdays as when I actually go to the Post Office and pay the Postage and Tracking in person. This change has come in an attempt to keep the Free Shipping since the post office has raised their prices and the amounts spent on auctions has been getting lower. This will hopefully allow for multiple items to go out in 1 package and keep me from having to start charging for shipping.
Thank you for your interest in my auctions and stopping by to view them.

Nicer coins like this should be professionally conserved at NCS!

are you speaking of Numismatic Conservation Services.
I heard that NGC started another service that I thought was extremely controversial. they actually clean coins to preserve them?
they came to light because of my research on Milk Spots on Eagles and heard that they do more than just using a rubber eraser to try and remove them. I have never found that an eraser works on milk spots though and just leave them as a way of showing that the coin is actually .999 silver or the milk spot would never be there.

Yea had some IHC conserved a long time ago, it`s about thirty dollars now so nice coins like this do not get conserved for future collectors!

you do know that the day is soon approaching where cleaning to preserve is going to be acceptable. especially since the ANA is behind it. of course if you clean the coin it will not be and only having it done professionally will be accepted.
I would love it to see the "black" on the wheat heads removed from this coin so that you can see that they are intact. I just do not know what they could use on copper pennies that will not turn them all kinds of awful colors. the tin and zinc in the composition of this coin will react terrible to any chemicals that are used to clean copper.
just very controversial as far as I believe, and if the $30 statement is correct, no wonder they do not worry about the fact that cleaning coins has always been taboo !!
