Not sure if these mini flashlights run on batteries or not. I had it for a while and never had to change them, but I don't know. The controller that turns on the flashlight is on the front where the lines are. Just click it and keep clicking to go through the settings.Has 4 settings:
°Medium flash power
°Low flash power
° "blinking" flashes
°Turn off
However, if you turn the 1st setting on and wait about 2-3 seconds, it will just shut off.
The 2nd picture shows how bright the flashlight can go up too and the 3rd shows the lowest brightness.
