ok before i get any comments going off about this book.....First off i practiced Wicca for 8 years and I collected every book i could about it ....even if it was against it , this is one I picked up in that time but, never got around to reading it. My points of view I am sure are not the same as this book and even though I am now a christian, I do not have any problems with Wicca ....and a lot of my fans are wiccan because i have posted a lot of my Wiccan things on here as i have cleaned out my collection. I am not one to judge people by religion....each to their own! So that being said , no attacking or judging on this please!

Now on to the book ......this book is in like new condition , spine has not even been broken in ...it does show some shelf wear but that is about it, as I said above I have not read this book and it is just sitting here so I thought I would pass it on to someone who may would like to read it

Wicca is a pretty harmless religion. In fact, amongst some other pagan groups they are often referred to as "fluffy bunnies." That's not a fair assessment, but they are very big on the "do no harm" and "rule of three." That is a big part of what makes this book so laughable. Also, there is the fact that even Satanists do not believe in Satan.Many Christians seem so obsessed with "him," as well as "demons." They see them everywhere and are so convinced anything not the right version of Christianity worship them, when outside of Christianity, they are virtually non-existent. It must be very sad to live life that way.
I am not saying that all pagan and neopagan paths are all bright white light- Hoodoo (a Christian based magic system) can get very dark, among certain others. But to attack Wicca as being "Satanic" is like blaming your backyard squirrel for cutting down your oak tree. It just makes no sense unless you are convinced that "Satan" is EVERYWHERE.
I certainly understand that we change, and that our paths meet forks in the road that take us in different directions. I do have some harsh words about some branches of Christianity, mostly because I know a LOT about them.
As an aside, I have found Unitarian Universalism to be a great place for people who know that no religion has the market cornered on truth. If there is a congregation near you, you might want to check it out. There is a saying that they are "disorganized religion."

Before we move to Florida we were apart of a Unitarian Church, it was a wonderful church to be apart of. Since moving here we have not found one in the area. But thank you for your very educated comments!

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer... Books like these are VERY amusing. It is amazing how someone with absolutely no knowledge of what they are attacking can present themselves as an expert with a straigh face, lol.
Most educated people know that Satan is an entirely Christian construct. Most Satanists- especially LaVeyan- don't even believe he exists, except as metaphor! I'd advise bidding on this one if you need a really good laugh at the expense of an idiot.

An update: Amazon has this book rated at 2 stars. Many reviews mentioned the comedic value of the book, as the author apparently claims membership in Masonic orders and churches that don't exist, as well as having been abducted by aliens in another of his books... I couldn't make this stuff up, folks! Bid now and bid often!

I really hope you do get good bids for this. People need to be aware of the outrageous claims out there, and if they get a good laugh in the process... So much the better. I am not Wiccan, but very familiar with it. Being a non-theist, it's not my cup of tea. That being said, it has made a very positive impact on the lives of many people I know.
Knowledge is power, even if it is knowledge of the ways in which the insecure or attention hungry defame religions they know nothing about. It's hard to fight in a dark room, but the honest amongst us must fight for truth. :-)

I was Wiccan for well over 8 years , there was some circumstances in myself that made me leave it ...not the religion itself. I promised myself though that I would not become close minded and judge others for their beliefs as I was Judged by other when I was Wiccan. To this day I never have a harsh word about any religion especially one I know nothing about. I think Wicca is a beuatiful religion and that is what drew me to it in the first place so many years ago and my points of view are as long as you are happy with whatever you choose to believe then who really has the right to judge you for that:) I hope whoever wins this book keeps in mind this one thing though .....This is the words of one man .......and this one man does not know it all if anyone wants it to learn about the religion ....I can assure them now this book is not a starting point....

Reading my first post again it may have sounded a bit arrogant but I have read the Bible through 5 times cover to cover and even read it once in chronological order based on the earliest known dates of the various books.

WOW! Such Great expressions of peoples beliefs-disbeliefs! I thank you for this auction, as I too am a Christian who at one time delved into this realm, and I do not judge others who still seek this path, however, for me, I found that it brought true and terrible consequences that I had to deal with in the "Natural" world. I am amused at the ideas of non-theists, and others who are so absorbed by the human nature, as to what power they feel it can allow them in their lives, specifically, the intellect, A Total Natural thing, Not of God. Completely of the "self". Alas...such folly.

When I was Wiccan like I said I bought EVERYTHING on the religion even if it was against it , just to read other peoples thoughts and most of the time crap, I never read this one I never got around to it. But yes as I get threw all my books and thing I will be posting more Wiccan/Pagan items as I find them.......and will more then likely post more soon we are buying a home this summer and clearing out the house of all stuff we do not use :) Fanning you back and thank you for taking the time to comment and fan me :)

This author misses one basic premise Witchcraft is older than Christianity. And the Satan he speaks of is nowhere to be found in the Bible, it is a book written by a typical hysteriamonger and if taken for that is a great read. He knows less abotu real witches beliefs than I do about his Jesus.

Thank you for the compliment. I suppose you tend to learn a few things along the way, at least if you pay attention. I try to. As to finding a congregation near you, the national website has a congregation finder. Posting websites is a no no here, but just google "uua" and it should be right at the top of results. Since UU tends to be fairly laid back, you might be closer to one than you think. I hope so, anyway.
I used to serve on the board of trustees of my local congregation until my disability made it impossible to continue. I have never met so many caring people all in one place before or since. Good luck!

Indeed it is interesting that the Christians created the idea of a Devil, and then blame others who do not worship their God with worshiping their Devil. The logic on that escapes me, almost as much as the logic of Celebrating the "birth" of Jesus in the winter when that goes against the evidence in their scriptures for a springtime birth of Y'shua ben Joseph Ha' Yudah!
