Description

The listing, Five Red Rose Seeds has ended.

Five red rose seeds. I don't know the exact name of this rose as it was there for many years on my parents property. This is the first time I have dug the seed out of the pods this Winter/Fall, and wanted to share them with anyone. They have all been cleaned and disinfected before shipment.

Approximate~
Height of 5' to 10' , Width of 30" to 3'

Pleasant fragrance. Average diameter approx. 3". Blooms through out the season.

Stratification. You will need to chill these rose seeds in the refrigerator for about 6 to 10 weeks before you plant them, to encourage the seeds to germinate. There is more info on the Internet. This is going to be the first year for me trying to grow them from seed as well this Spring, which I'm excited about.

Thanks for fanning, I'm fanning you back and yes I can send instructions. Basically you can get them from me here as well. I would just prpare a rose friendly type of seed starting soil, then place them in the sun after you've done the stratification. Keep a watchful eye on them daily and water when needed. Watering them with weak tea water might help too if you don't see anything sprouting for a long time. I will try that myself as it helps make other seeds sprout faster as well.

Place the seeds in the sun after planting them, I meant (of course).
