The punch hole KILLS the value but its still a neat piece.

The medal was made with the hole for suspention. Most all early campaign tokens were made this way

I know this type though, these were not the types where people would just pop a hole in it.

Actually, The Hole was put in when they were made. Most likely 99%of them have the holes.

This was an inaugural token as Harrison was elected in 1840, however, this and a "Go It Tip (for Tippecanoe), Come It Tyler" token were worn with a ribbon inserted in the hole and pinned to pockets or lapels to celebrate the March, 1841 inauguration of the President and Vice President.
