Description: Catnip was first grown in America in the late 1700s. Euphoric effect for cats and makes a tasty herbal tea for humans used for insomnia. Bushy plants spread 2-3' when mature. Catnip is very drought-tolerant once plants are established.
Planting: Sow Catnip seeds indoors just beneath surface of soil. Transplant outdoors 12-18" apart in early spring just before last frost. For maximum flavor and aroma, plant in a dry, sandy, sunny area; however, catnip will tolerate most soils and partial shade

Dry to make your kitty very happy. Store in a baggie or jar after completely dry..

I look on seed sites to get planting instructions before I plant anything. I also get the info I put on my seed auctions.

Oh OK well thank you for sharing. I'm older and technology has left me behind but I'm learning lol thank you for sharing. I was raised on a farm and only child I had lots of animals.

I am 72 but I worked just about forever using computers/ I went back to school at 35 and got my Asociates Degree in Secretarial Science/Accountinhg I worked at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma. a bank as an Assistant to a VP, had a word processing business, Worked as an Accountant to an optical company and after moving to the mountains I worked at home for 7 yearsdoing all the financials for a guy who designed optelescopes and such for the government. So I have kept my hands in the computer field for many years. I can find just about anything and anyone on the internet. I love doing Listia, it is my hobby. I love finding different seeds for my site. It is fun! Did you enlarge my picture to the left and look at what I am holding? LOL

I was at the vet one day and I got to play with her. She belongs to the local zoo owner. I am a Wildlife Rehabilitator and I have worked with many wonderful birds and animals that most people don't even see up close in their lifetime. It is awesome to put them all healed up back into the wild. I just love doing it. I have been working with wildlife since the early 90's. I do reptiles and turtles also.

She looks so soft and cuddly you are truly a blessed lady and have really inspired me tonight thank you for your encouragement. I had been thinking about going back to school but thought I was to old. But I just might give it a try. I'm 61. I'm town clerk in a small town part time with limited computer skills. I use to keep books for local businesses the old fashion way. Lol Don't miss those heavy ledger books at all. But I would like to take classes in something I'd enjoy now verses for a job. I do enjoy office work but I'd like to do something really fun and rewarding. I thought about health care but I'm so tender hearted not sure I could handle stress.
