Opals actually contain up to 30% water and are porous. Once I buy an opal I properly store it. They are so intriguing and beautiful, and my favorite gemstone.

Up for bid is a fabulous natural Opal cabochon. What a pretty stone! Not so conveniently, my brand new scale is not reading accurately so I'm improvising by taking a photo beside a penny for size reference. Winner receives exact stone photographed with free and appropriately packaged shipping.
