crap people, this isn't discrimination, they are promoting local pickup. and they happen to be in San Francisco area. I bet if they were near you, there wouldn't be any complaining. try searching for stuff near wherever ever you are, and find an iPod there. jeesh.

It's says come visit the Listia office in the description. That's why it's local pick up. I think it's pretty Awesome that Listia as a company invites us into there offices. I hope there's more auction like these in future. I'll surely love to win one, just for the road trip to go check it out. Once I get more credits I'll be sure to save them for one of these auctions. Thanks Listia Inc. all of you for one of the greatest site on the web. =)

Unfair...you are making the rest of Listia feel discriminated against. That's not right. Thanks but no thanks. Even my family in California would agree with me. Legends Karen

To the people who keep saying this is "discrimination", you should hear how stupid you sound. Listia is constantly listing ipods, tablets, tv's, dvd's, and more, always with free shipping. Bid on one of those if you want one. They're promoting Local Pickup. Why is it "discrimination" is listia does local pickup and its not discrimination if I do Local Pickup? There is no difference at all. What because they own the site it makes it discrimination? Thats is the most ridiculous theory ive ever heard, and if you really think thats true, then take them to court. The clerk will toss the case in the trash and it wont even make it in front of a judge. Your whining and crying and no one cares but you 3 or 4 people who are belly aching. They are giving people a chance to come by and visit the office, which I, and many others, think is a great idea. I wish I lived closer, I would bid, but I dont, so I WONT BID. What I think is funny is the ding dong asking for it to be shipped to her, and the bigger moron who is from Virginia but still bidding. I so hope that someone from outside of California is dumb enough to bid and win, and then Listia keeps the credits and doesn't refund them, as that person needs to learn a lesson about reading an ad. I know its a crazy radical idea in an auction, but some people need to try it. They just look at the picture, and bid, like monkeys. Just when I thought ive read every stupid comment there ever was, I come to this auction and find a whole new level of stupidity. Like Ive said before, its fairly easy to tell whos 12, and whos an adult. Good luck Listia, I think you guys should do a bunch more auctions just like this. And to the person who said that listia keeps charging shipping costs for their auctions, show me one. Post the link to one single auction where they have charged a shipping fee, cause I haven't seen one yet. Wah wah listia won't ship me an old ipod shuffle, wah wah, im a big baby, wah wah.

Would be nice if they did two, one with shipping one with pickup, for the rest of us. I put out a ton of money each month in shipping, as Listia trys to promote Free Shipping, maybe I can charge for shipping and be able to buy a ticket to Cali to pick up this Ipod. LMAO>>>>

^ I know what it says. I can read! ;)
I still think it's NOT FAIR and a form of State Descrimination as most people can;t go visit Listia in CA. Not to mention most Listians won't find many of Listia's great auctions lately going this way!

And I thought Listia was trying to promote FREE Shipping!?! - But yet their now charging for shipping on some listings!

Gotta <3 Love Listia!! ;D

Its funny how you TRIED to insert "location" into your snippet from the Americans With Disabilities Act. Nice try, but thats not going to fly. No one is forcing you to use the site, its optional and not necessary. Your not applying for a job. Good luck with that though.

I'm consulting with Better Business Bureau today on the Company's lawful obligations when offering products online in a promotional venue that give preference or "rule out" & repudiate certain groups of people (ex. Local pickup on a global website is a really lame idea... 99% of the users are nowhere near SF.. and it is the br\est way to cut your ability to gain credits! this ain't craigslist!

I can come to Mountain View if YOU pay my way to California. While it's GREAT that you invite Listia users to visit the offices I think it is a very poor idea to do so with local pick up auctions as you are cutting out most of your users.
