Description

The listing, Dried Herbs (Not 4 consumption per "Rules") has ended.

This listing is for the following 6 herbs: White willow bark, witch hazel leaf, chamomile, eleuthero root, lavender buds, and peppermint.

I had an auction like this up that was taken down sometime in the last 24 hours and has greatly upset me. Apparently someone flagged it and the moderator took it down. Having read the rules (for the fourth time now!!!) there is NOTHING wrong with an herb auction. This is for dried herbs. You use them to make salves and other herbal products.

I have a TON of herbs available, so if you are looking for specific herbs, please let me know and I will see if I have what you are wanting. I try very hard to be flexible.
Also, I like to include freebies as much as possible, so .... once the credits reach 400, I will begin adding freebies to the package at the rate of one (1) freebie for every 100 credits that have been bid, with no limit. The freebies are my choice please simply because I sell all these products regularly and I don't want to sell out of something that I have listed here as a freebie.
Questions & Comments

For the record: ANYONE LOOKING FOR K2 OR ANY OTHER POSSIBLE "LEGAL" HERB....THIS IS NOT IT. I think that my last auction was taken down because a listia member was asking about K2 and out of politeness, I was answering her. I did not have an auction containing the herbs needed to make such a mixture and none of the actual herbs used to make the stuff is illegal. What is illegal is the chemical spray used during the drying process. I really wish people would bother to look things up before ruining an auction. To all the bidders that were bidding on the other auction, I am very sorry that it was taken down. This is the same thing as the other one, so please don't hesitate to bid. If this auction gets unfairly removed again, please message me or email me at herbalist26@hotmail.com and we will work something out. I am a very honest person, I don't do drugs, I don't sell drugs, I don't sell illegal herbs or incense mixes and I am very irate that the moderator removed the entire auction when they could have just asked me to hide the other person's comments which I would have willingly done.

Please do not comment on anything that even looks remotely illegal or possibly illegal because apparently just a comment to that effect on an auction means the auction automatically gets removed. It's not fair, but whatever. If someone comments on K2 or any other illegal incense mixture, they will be banned from my page, the comment will be hidden, and that person will be reported. I will not have my listia reputation being ruined because someone wants a legal high and has to publicly announce it instead of just emailing the lister in the first place. I am still very upset about the whole thing, but whatever. LOL

How much is in the bags ? thanks

The amount varies based on the herb. So I can not state a certain weight. However, these packages do contain enough herbs to experiment with and make different products as well. Picture a craft baggie 2"x3" stuffed with an herb, and that is how much is in the packages. Lol On eBay, these are very popular as herb samplers. I pack mine as full as possible so the customer gets the most for their money. Most of the others on eBay do not. When I first started using herbs, I bought a few herb samplers online and I was lucky if the packages were even half full. So I try to beat everyone else's prices and I package almost twice as much as the others do. Plus, my shipping charge always includes delivery confirmation so the customer can track their purchase as well.

I can't see the names on the items. Are they herbs for cooking?

You can use these herbs for a variety of purposes. I use them for making cough syrups, etc. I know of people who use some of these herbs for cooking as well. Unfortunately, I can not tell you that you can use these for cooking or for ingestion per the "rules". I'm sorry :(

Are these herbs you've grown or wild crafted yourself?

While I do grow some of my own herbs, I do not have the space to grow every herb I need for making my herbal products. So I buy dried herbs in bulk from a high-quality company and I sell the extra herbs so that they don't go stale on my shelf. This way everyone gets a good deal and nothing gets wasted. The herbs in this listing are bought from the herb company I use.

I have sent a message to the listia moderators and am waiting on a reply. Anyway, for future "trigger-happy" people, please take the time to see if I am actually doing something wrong before flagging the auction. Don't flag the auction just because you don't like the topic of conversation. the previous auction was deleted because no one bothered to actually find out if I was wrong, they just assumed I was wrong.

very true. I am a firm believer in Mother Nature and her healing abilities. My mother-in-law is Mohawk and is also very in-tune with nature. It i wonderful to know what I do about herbs and to keep learning about them too. Plus, I love helping people, so I am constantly creating new products, trying them out, tweaking them, and then selling them to other people who need them :) Thank you!

Herbs are useful for just about everything. 80% of the commercial medicines we have today were actually created using chemical compounds found in herbs. Scientists liked the healing properties of the herbs and decided to try and seperate the chemical compounds in the herbs from everything else in the herbs. When they succeeded, they then decided that stronger was better and started experimenting with increasing the strength of the new "medicine" until it worked as quickly as they wanted or as quickly as they were going to get. Then they got creative and started trying to re-create these chemical compounds in labs. Since they are not Nature, they couldn't get the exact compound. But they got "close enough" and thus began the foundation for most of our commercial medications today. Interesteing isn't it? :)

I like burdock, chamomile, lavender and nettle for a hair rinse. Do you have burdock and nettle available?
Feb 6th, 2012 at 9:57:23 PM PST by

I know I don't have nettle right now, I am not sure about burdock. I will have to check on that and get back to you. I have an herb price list if you are interested and I will be putting in an herb order to my supplier soon if you want any of the herbs listed on my price sheet. Just let me know :)

also some herbs can be used in soap making as well

Feb 6th, 2012 at 1:26:10 PM PST by

yep! I have some soaps with herbs in them as exfoliants, and other soaps I have used herbal infused olive oil as one of the base oils. I prefer the second method because the scents mix much better that way. :)

Good luck on your auction~I completely feel the same way. 9 times out of 10, Listia will not side with you for any reason! I have had my troubles with one in particular. Some people are real pests. My "Blocked" list is unfortunately filling up slowly but surely. I use herbs to make my own insense . Nice Auction. Fanned and watching!
