One more suggestion ... the title of this listing has painting but you put those odd parens around the word. Don't do that, it won't show up when people are searching for the word "painting." Use a title something like: ORIGINAL Art Painting Signed by Artist Exclusively available HERE (you can't use the word Listia in your title, Listia took some of my listings down when I did that a while ago).

Or, Original Art PAINTING of your PET *Send me a photo* I'll send you a masterpiece! Stuff like that, try to generate some excitement with your title AND your desciptions. Make them sound like you are jumping up and down with insane joy when someone is reading them ... LOL. Kooky, but it works.

I like them BOTH, but 'Valley Farm' has the painting on the frame that I like so much! Will I get my name in the jar for 'each' time I bid?

Twice is what I have too,, maybe someone eles has to bid after you do, for it show each time??so you would have to wait for someone to outbid you, to bid again?

These are adorable, so perfect for a powder room or mudroom, or even by a front door (on a covered porch, of course). I saw Kim's comment to you about signing them and I think that's a good idea!

Have you thought about offering a custom painting? The winner could send you a photo and you could paint it for them ... their own house, a pet, stuff like that. You might want to offer a customized pet painting ... cat or dog, I'll bet you'll get a lot of action on something like that. People are crazy about their pets!

The idea of offering something new like that on Listia can take a while to catch on. We had an artist on Listia a year or so ago who was offering personlized drawings. Her first listings didn't do that well, but she kept at it and was getting very high credits eventually.

Just be sure you MARKET your art correctly. List in the Pets category, specifically for a pet painting. People love stuff for their pets and I'm sure a lot of people browse that category regularly. They will start to notice your listings and may decide to save up some credits to have a portrait of their pet done. Perhaps you can paint them on nice art paper and ship them inexpensively (first class) with cardboard in the envelope ... paint them in a size that is easy to frame, like 8x10. Offer to include a frame if the winner wants to send you Paypal for the frame and shipping costs, a lot of people might want to do that.

The decor category might be a little tougher to crack. Ask Listia to feature your listing. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, but they like unique items. Watch that category to see what is getting the most action and imitate what those sellers are doing with their titles and descriptions. Remember to include LOTS of keywords in your descriptions so people searching will stumble on your stuff.

Also, once you have painted something for a winner, you can use photos of that painting in your listings. Just me rambling, as usual, hope that helps spark some ideas for you. I think original paintings could be a really great Listia item.
