Has it been washed? Could it have possibly shrunk or will it? My husband has been asking me to find him a mario shirt, he can get away wearing a 2x but 3x might be pushing it but idk.

No not washed at all, its a lighter black. I don't think it will shrink if you wash it in a delicate cycle and dry it on a hanger or something like that.
