The listing, Philips GoGear MP3 player (6gb) (free shipping) has ended.

Up for bids today is a Philips GoGear 6gb MP3 player. I won this on here but I can't get it to connect to my computer so I am listing this as-is. All that happens when I connect it to my computer is it shows that it is supposedly connected but it doesn't show up on my list of connected devices. It does need a firmware update but since my computer can't read it I have no way of doing that so I am listing it for parts only. Maybe someone has more knowledge with these and it's possibly an easy fix. I will also include the all in one power cord. This power cord, as you can see from the pictures, also doubles as the data cable with the attached usb connecter. The item itself is in good condition. It has very minor wear from use. I'll try to answer any questions. This will be shipped with delivery confirmation. Shipping in lower U.S. only please. No International shipping. AS-IS PARTS ONLY !!!

It turns on and the screen says 'Please conect player to pc' then when I plug in the usb cord the screen shows it as connected to my computer but when I go to 'My Computer' it doesn't show it on the list of attached devices. I do know it needs a firmware update but I have no way of doing that since it doesn't seem to want to connect to my computer.
