The listing, Group of 4 Quilt Patterns has ended.
The winner of this auction will receive all 4 patterns. These are leftover patterns (new, never used) from my first design company which is now closed.
I should have said my first QUILT design company :) I was a quilt designer for a number of years, and had two businesses, and also published a quilt book! :)
Flagwaver has simple applique in the border, with the stars. I would use Fusible Web to iron them on to your quilt, and then use a zig zag/satin stitch around the edges. The rest of it plain patchwork.
Filigree does have the large applique piece in the center and corners. I needleturn appliqued it, but it could also be appliqued with the same Fusible Web method for the FlagWaver quilt. You can email me if you want to talk about this more karengass144 @ gmail dot com
I love to help get another quilter started on new methods, so please don't hesitate to email me. If you win the patterns, I'll also provide support. :))
Your face looks familar,i thought I have seen you somewhere before but not sure and it isn't on here.I will figure it out someday. Thanks for the chance to teach me other ways of quilting,I really want to learn all I can.
Well this is the photo I use all over the internet, so you could have seen it before. I'm pretty sure that handsome young man in not you :) but maybe if I saw your picture I'd recognize you, or your name. (privately) I'm always happy to help starting quilters, because it's such a rewarding and fulfilling hobby. (that can take over your life) :)
That young man is one of my many grandkids,he is 5yrs old,and a good kid.And it is so relaxing to quilt when all is quite. Will e-mail you Sunday with picture and my name.
Sure! :) Make sure you mark the center point of each piece. Pin at the center point and at each end. Then just press the 'poufy' side flat with your fingers and pin roughly in the middle of the two sections, continue to pin the middle of each section you create. It should fit perfectly, since they are the same length, just curved different ways. When you sew, put the flatest side UP and the looser side down, and the feed dogs will ease the extra fabric in, and you'll end up with a lovely seam. This is my first explanation of the day :) so, let me know if I didn't make sense!!! lol
