These are extremely well-made, and the stones will not come off the setting, unless you are really rough with them. You can see in the pictures, that the metal flowers on this hair comb are about the size of a quarter, with the Dichroic glass stones being a bit smaller than a dime, and sit in the center of each of the 3 metal flowers on these combs.

Dichroic glass is very beautiful, but very difficult to photograph and have that picture show it's true beauty. Dichroic glass shows different colors, depending on the angle that you are looking at it. These pictures do not do justice to how gorgeous these hair combs actually are.
