This contains no silver. It's the " blue Ike" which is the clad version. The brown Ike in faux wood grain box with thick, hard plastic container.

They both have 40% silver. The brown ones are proof and blue are uncirculated. It says on the blue envelope Silver Dollar and anyone who knows anything about these knows that they have 40% silver. Get your facts straight before you start posting lies.

Hello,
I apologize too as the last part of my post was a bit harsh in tone. I have been upset with the Listia member who was listing "Replica" Silver Eagle American Eagle 1 Ounce Rounds and Johnson Matthey .999 Fine 1 Ounce Bars for around $20 worth of credits. These were silver plated replica that had around 15 milligrams of silver in them and are worth basically nothing (well about 25 cents worth of silver but are nowhere close to the spot price of the $17-$19 an ounce today) but I no longer see any of these junk coins / bars listed anymore.

So I apologize too as you have been a member who has purchased from me in the past as well. If the U.S. Mint puts the word Silver on whatever the coin is placed in then that means that there is either 40%, 90% or 100% silver in that coin (yes some older coins from the 1800's had not so precise amounts of silver in them).

Anyways - the coin is 38.1 millimeters in diameter and weighs 24.59 grams. Minted on a planchet with an outer layer composed of .800 silver and .200 copper, bonded to an inner core of .209 silver and .791 copper, the coin contains 0.3161 ounce of silver.
