Description

The listing, Zabrina Zebra Hollyhock 50 Seeds has ended.

An old Cottage-garden favourite, this cousin to the Hollyhock has similar satiny flowers in a soft lavender-purple shade, exotically striped with deep maroon veins. It forms an upright, bushy mound that may need to be staked if grown in rich soil. This is a short-lived perennial or biennial, often flowering itself to death in the first year, but comie back the next year from self-sown seedlings. Excellent in containers, or the sunny border. In cold regions this is well worth growing, because of the long blooming season. Flowers are attractive to butterflies. Also known as Striped Mallow.you will receive 50 seeds.FREE shipping :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I read, it sounds as if this plant does well in colder climates, rather than in warmer ones? In other words, it wouldn't do too well, here, in Florida, would it?

I lived in Jacksonville Florida for 22 years have only been in Ohio for 3 years the hollyhocks aka mallow grow like crazy in warm climates and very cold they are a no fail flower a tip for growing them... They don't like their leafs watered so while watering water from the ground I trim any leafs close to the ground so they don't get a problem with rust they are just like tomatoes when it comes growing. But they will grow beautifully even if you plant the seed and never water them again they sprout. I have allot of experience in growing these and can give allot of advice and answer any questions regarding anything throught growing them.
