not to act like a clown on my part,but the HDD ARE the same size if you rip it out of the old case(being the one you're selling)Now the only issue is could XBL tell if you are using an HDD from an older system(does it really matter,as far as breaking thier COC/TOU?)on my first xbox360 i had a 250GB HDD installed into the old case of a 120GB,as long as you use MS/XBL firmware you're good to go(no different then buying a mem stick that does not say xbox360 on it.But it will fit in the slim(no case on it)i have not myself tested this,i'm just looking for a replacement for the young lads 20GB,that somehow lost over 13GB due to FF12(THE ONE YOU HAD TO PAY TO PLAY besides your XBL gold membership.

This HDD will work on any xbox360;BUT without modding IT WILL NOT WORK ON ANY OF THE NEWER SLIM MODELS.
will work on the elite systems(these are not xbox360S models)
but for those who want to risk being ban from live it will work on the 360 slim models(one needs to rip the HDD out of the case)

the only thing is i connected the HDD hardrive and the xbox 360 turned off and it dosent work or even read or say a hardrive installed

not that it matters to you but for those thinking about it.
ashame this got away from me,i should have checked this one first.
considering what you would have got on a trade0in with game(rip u off)stop,you did ok on this get it to 2000 (under buy creds deal)that's about $20.00.
