The hat was used by my 18 month old old son and it is just getting to small for him. If using just the hat it might fit 6 to 18 months. If using the just the mittens it should fit 6-12 months. (However the tag says it fits 12-18 months, I guess I have a big baby, LOL) The mittens were never used and they match the set
