The listing, Vintage Faux Emerald Brooch has ended.
This brooch dates back to the late 1960's. It features a faux emerald gemstone. In the pictures the color is showing up as a blue-green (I think it's my camera as I got the same results under several different lighting conditions).I don't know what type of metal it's made of, but in all the years that I've had this brooch the color has remained true. There is no discoloration or tarnish. The back pin is very solid (you can see the solder in the last picture).
It's light-weight so you're not limited to wearing it on a lapel. It looks great placed at the neck line of a button-down blouse.
