Description

The listing, Suede-Like "Snakeskin" Pattern Fabric - Two Yards has ended.

Here's another grab from my wife's sewing room.

This is two yards of snakeskin pattern fabric.
For people who are into this, it is a very cool pattern. And very realistic ... when she first brought this downstairs, my first inclination was to go to the shed and get a shovel and lop it's head off. Fortunately, both the fabric and my wife survived this incident.

My wife says she has had this fabric for about ten years, and isn't sure of the exact type of fabric anymore, but it is very similar to suede. I felt it, and to my surprise, it was not slimy and scaly like I had initially thought, but instead remarkably soft. I asked her to get some more fabric like this in a pattern that doesn't give me the heebie jeebies and make me a pillow from it. She told me no.

Apparently, this stuff is "fashionable" and would be good for a number of projects. My wife says you could make anything from it, really, including clothing. This might be a good idea, really, as it might attract strapping young lads who also like this stuff, and meanwhile would deter creepy old guys from approaching you while you are wearing it. Or, at least, that's my take on it ...

I think she initially got it to make some extra-soft reptile-like stuffed animals. She says she changed her mind when she realized there was already something soft and reptile-like loafing around the house. I was not sure what she meant, and I would have asked, but divas were on wrestling, so I ended the conversation pretty abruptly.

I will ship this free to your home. If I find anything else here that looks like snakes, I would be glad to ship that free to your home, as well.

Happy bidding, and good luck.

I am entertained by your description!! Did you mention what color this is and I missed it?

I am going to be honest with you ... you'll need to judge from the picture. I can ask my wife when she gets home as to the "color", but I am what is known as a rod monochromat ... I see no color, whatsoever.

It looks pinkish, or mauve. Let me know what your wife thinks the color is. OK?

She actually said "mauve" at some point while discussing the color, but I told her that is a made up color.

I like the material, but am afraid of what else I would get in the mail with it. F&W anyway.

I say that every day when I go to check the mail ... every now and then I get the neighbor's mail, and he's a seedy character. :)

Lol. Would you happen to know the size of the fabric?

I'm not sure what you mean by "size of the fabric" ... it looks as if the bolt was a 42 inch bolt, and then the "two yards" part should explain itself.
