The listing, 1862 Steel Engraving Civil War Soldier has ended.
This steel engraving was produced during the civil war these pieces were made as a large collection to be framed they are blank backed and dom the signature of the person . made by John Fry & Co. Publishers of New York . about 8 x 10 3/4 " . very heavy stock and blank back . they do have some discoloring from age. I may post more after seeing what this piece brings. good luck .
I'm sorry but does anyone NOT KNOW the difference between the Revolutionary war and the CIVIL War? This photo is of the Revolutionary era. My husband does Civil War re-enactments, there is a DIFFERENCE.
very nice! is it dated? the uniform looks to be Pre- Civil War. maybe War of 1812? I could not find anything like it in my Civil War library on uniforms. it appears to be of a Naval officer. watching and will fan
