The listing, 1969 Topps #311 SPARKY LYLE Rookie Card has ended.
This is a Sparky Lyle rookie card!
Pictured here with the Boston Red Sox, where he spent his first 5 seasons, Sparky is best-known for his tenure with the New York Yankees.
A superstar reliever of the 1970s, Lyle came up with the Red Sox in 1967 and was traded to the Yankees in 1972, where he made a name for himself. Lyle won the 1977 Cy Young Award and 2 World Series rings in New York (1977, 1978), and established the American League record for saves, later broken by Rollie Fingers.
Overall nice card, no creases, minor wear only. Card should grade in excellent condition or better.
IMPORTANT:
-Because I do not use a SmartPhone, I access the site infrequently throughout the week. I am rarely available for "haggling". I'm not being rude and trying to ignore you, this is a work/family vs time issue.
-If you don't feel like the item is "worth it", don't buy it (this simple trick is a lot easier than many users realize).
-I am terrible at following comments. Sorry about that.
