Description

The listing, VINTAGE GAS MASK has ended.

This is a vintage gas mask. Don't know the origin. It's in good condition for the age. There is some cracking on the rubber and the elastic is a little stretched out.

Needs a clean up and dusting.

I got this at a estate sale.

Has a couple of markings on it. One I think states BRF 21/4/42

Another marking in the back states No. 4 III, B 4/42, PAT. Nos. 296,493 & 305,080

civillin issue 1940's i have had Similar in my shop England and some US ,,the german ones have a longer screw on canaster

Cool auction....I wouldn't breathe through it too much though....the filters(if it still has one in it) were made from asbestos fibers.....alot of the ww2 vets that wore these ended up with lung cancer....awesome piece of history!

Yes, the 21/4/42 is the manufacture date, 1942.during the time of WW2. Do you happen to have the little brown carrying bag with it as well?
