The listing, Red Twig White Dogwood Shrub x 20 seeds has ended.
Thank you for looking at my listing. I am offering 20 seeds.
I will take reasonable GIN offers in a private message.
A deciduous shrub with ornamental features. For areas where you’d like something pretty, but have problematic soils or conditions. The 4", lance-shaped foliage is red-hued, green that turns a dusky purple/red for autumn. Late spring flowers appear as clusters of white blossoms that later transition to fruit. It grows 10'-15' tall with an equal spread, but can be pruned to almost any size. Plant in full sun to full shade; performs best in full sun to partial sun. Zones 5 to 8.
All of my seeds that I offer have been stratified. Fill 4" plastic pots with mixture of 2 parts coarse sand, 2 parts perlite and 1 part potting soil. Sow 1 seed in each pot 1/2" deep. Place in a partially shaded, unventilated cold frame. Warm with a heating mat set to 70 F. Shield from direct sun to keep sand mixture from drying out too rapidly. Check moisture level every day. Add water when it feels almost dry just beneath surface. Water until top inch is moderately moist but not soggy.
Germination in 2-3 months. Remove heating mat after seeds sprout. Crack open cold frame during the day to acclimate seedlings to cool, drier air.
Move pots to a bright, sheltered area after last frost. Transplant into 8" pots filled with potting soil once they put on several sets of mature leaves.
Grow under light shade. Acclimate to direct sun in late summer. Transplant in early to mid-autumn.
