This is a fine coin which you might be able to get $20 for on eBay if you are lucky. It's an 1898 Canadian Large Cent. It's condition is maybe just fine. There are no flaws except possible extra wear on the "Cent" and "1898" raised lettering, but that factors into my grading...

Free US and Canadian shipping.

BTW - the "penny" is a term technically reserved for the British penny which was worth twice as much. The present animal is equivalent to the American cent of the time

It was also minted at the Heaton mint, England's secondary (but interestingly private :-) mint.

This year's minting was only 1 million and was done at the Heaton mint a private mint which worked in cooperation with England's primary Royal mint. There were no coins issued from the Royal Mint of England for this year for Canada.
