The Red Tailed Hawk is not endangered, it is in fact very common in the US, and one of the best know Hawks because of that. But there are other species of hawk that are endangered such as the Galapagos Hawk, Hawaiian Hawk ('lo), Puerto Rican Broad-Winged Hawk, and the Puerto Rican Sharp-Shinned Hawk. There are more listed on the IUCN Red List, these are from the US Fish and Wildlife Services Endangered Species List only. For more details see sites listed below.

I love getting feathers, especially when the bird isn't hurt in the process. Loosing feathers is a natural thing as as a Cherokee I can carry preditor feathers. I have a card I carry along with my tribal card and it is not illegal. To be gifted with a feather is an honor and it is very kind of you to post a listing for one, however not everyone is able to enjoy owning one. If you decide to take down your listing that is your decision however I would love to trade with you if you don't keep it up for this site. I am member of the Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama and we are a state recognized tribe and trading goods is very traditional. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to do some trading. God bless.
