No but I can try to find out for you. If you like teddy bears once I get my seller's wings I will be putting up a collection of teddy figurines called Cherished Teddies. I love them but I have to start clearing out my items. I want to declutter my house and life. Put money away for my daughter is old enough to go to university or take a trip to the Ukraine where all my great grandparents immigrated from during the early 1900s.

Yes, please, find out how much it would cost to ship the teddy to Greece. As I told you I collect figurines and I think the collection of teddies you are talking about will be great for listing! I can understand the decluttering; I'm also in the middle of the same process. I also wish you good luck to your noble goal for your daughter and hope she may achieve both the university and the trip to your family's roots (hope you accompany her in this trip, too). I'm sure you have a lot of traditions and heirlooms to talk about.

We have some stories to talk about when my great grandparents got here, how hard it was, how people where racist to Ukrainians and other people from Eastern European Countries especially during World War One. Canada actually had work concentration camps where they took people who were from Eastern European countries such as Ukraine, Poland, Russia, and others and made them work and live in concentration camps across Canada until after the war was older. Thankfully none of my family members were put in any of the camps and it has only been about 20 to 25 years that the government has acknowledged that they did this and apologized for their actions. I do know talking to elders in the community that the camps for Eastern Europeans in World War One were vacations compared to what Canada did to the Japanese in Canada, whether they were immigrants or born in Canada, had done to them during World War Two. I mean nothing can compare to the death camps and war happening on your side of the world but we were taught about what Canada did to its own Citizens who were of Japanese descent. I live in a city where there are very few Jewish people and so I didn't learn about the what happened to them during that time. I knew I had Great uncles and my own Grandfather who was badly blown up and almost didn't make it back(he was behind enemy lines before D-Day as a scout). He didn't talk about the war, especially to women and girls and I learned from my grandmother and my dad why Papa would wake up screaming and crying in the middle of the night, shell shock or what is now called PTSD.

I know what you're talking about...The history of my country, and thus of my family, is full of WW I, Smyrna's destruction, WW II, immigration to USA, Civil Wars, etc. All I know is that in every place in the world there are people who act with violence and people who act with compassion and love. Let's try to raise the number of the second ones so that these stories extinct.
