these are goldTONE.. I have allergy ears and they still didn't bother me. they LOOK heavy but they are light.. the metal is pressed into formation ,the beads are plastic. They are pretty though and light loves them. They're sparkly. They are very nice for the bohemian fashion-style and belly dancers or to dress up a casual outfit. really nice looking when the lady wears her hair up with them. I loved these and wore them alot.
