My seeds from 2016. Approx 20 seeds from my 4 o'clock plants. Four o’clocks are easy to grow from seed. Plants get to be 2-3 feet tall in sunny spots or part shade, and bloom from midsummer until frost and will come back every year. Bloom time of 4 o'clocks is said to correspond to changes in light and temperature, so they open in the cool of the evening, usually between 4-8 p.m., or a bit earlier on cloudy afternoons.
