1943 Steel Lincoln Cents (4)These 1943 Lincoln Cents are all in beautiful condition. Steel pennies were only made in 1943. Because of munitions production during WWII there was a copper shortage so in the mint made pennies out of steel. This is the only year they did this. Interestingly, you can pick this penny up with a magnet. They are a real novelty; you can give them to your kids; include them in birthday gifts; or just display them as something unusual that many people do not even know about. You will receive the exact 4 coins shown in the photos. Usually when you see them they are corroded or rusted but these are beauties.
