The listing, Alpaca fiber for spinning yarn has ended.

Here is 6 ounces of alpaca fiber. This lot is loosely in roving form, and you may want to card some of it or do as I do, and take in up. It has not been washed and you will want to do that after spinning, of course, during setting the ply... I carded it on my drum carder and then split it into roving and bundled it as you see here. This is not the exact fiber you'll receive but IS from the same animal and looks almost identical to this. It's very soft and beautiful. I got this fiber during a summer of a self created fiber collection adventure. Quite an experience! This is an excellent amount of fiber for you. Good bids means more fibers to come, more colors, more types. Thank you!

That sounds like a great adventure! I go from one art or craft to another. I haven't spun for a while, but I will probably start again soon. Where did you get your drum carder? Fanned and bidding. :)

I bought the Strauss (is that right?) drum carder from someone on Ravelry or CL a few years ago. It's a great carder. I also have hand carders. I may part with one set, perhaps I'll list them here, they're Howards. I have two others and a set of combs, which are handmade and beautiful. My husband is working, slowly, on making a wool picker from some old farm plans. It's going to be FUN!!!! As to the adventure, I went from place to place with the shearer that I had set up, all over southern california, to shear sheep, alpaca and llama. It was quite an experience. We got exhausted and could not do any more....
